Today's Game

Tonight, the Bisons take on the Rochester Red Wings in the first game of a three-game series from Frontier Field (6:35 p.m.). The Herd is coming off a series victory in Scranton/Wilkes-Barre that pulled them to within a game of the .500-mark at 7-8. The Bisons are now 6-5 on the road to start the season.

Last Game (BUF 6, SWB 5)

The Bisons rallied from down three in the 7th inning for a 6-5 win over the RailRiders. C A.J. Jimenez had a two-run home run and an RBI-single, but it was his bases loaded walk that capped a three-run 8th inning and proved to be the game-winning run. RHP Chad Jenkins pitched 2.1 innings of shutout relief to earn his first win of 2016.

vs. Rochester (1-1)

Today's game is the start of six straight between the Thruway rivals as the teams will play three at Coca-Cola Field after Monday's off day. Buffalo and Rochester traded 2-1 wins last week with the Bisons winning their Home Opener on April 14.

Chris Leroux

RHP Chris Leroux makes his third start of the season tonight. The righty has worked four innings in each of his first two outings, both no-decisions. On Sunday, Leroux allowed two runs on five hits and three walks. Last season with Lehigh Valley, he was 0-1 with a 5.40 ERA in three relief outings against Rochester (6.1 IP).

Jesus Montero

DH Jesus Montero brings a Bisons' season-high seven-game hit streak into tonight's game. Since April 15, the slugger has averaged .300 (9-30) with three doubles, five RBI and three runs scored. Montero has hit in 12 of 15 games overall and leads the Herd with a .316 average. His team-high 11 RBI are tied for 3rd best in the International League.

Matt Dominguez

INF Matt Dominguez has averaged .579 (11-19) over his five-game hit streak since April 17. The stretch has included two doubles, a home run, seven RBI and four runs scored. Dominguez is tied for second on the Bisons with 10 RBI this season.

No-Hitter History

Cubs' Jake Arrieta threw a no-hitter last night in a game Chicago beat Cincinnati, 16-0. It was the largest score for an MLB no-hitter since the Bisons' RHP James "Pud' Galvin no-hit the Detroit Wolverines, 18-0, on August 4, 1884. A National Baseball Hall of Famer, Galvin won 218 games for the National League Bisons from 1879-1885.

Bisons Bits

With 14 strikeouts, RHP Dustin Antolin is 4th among IL relievers with 15.12 K/9.0IP...The Bisons are 6-0 when outhitting their opponents.

Blue Jays Update

The Orioles defeated the Blue Jays (8-9) by a 3-2 score to win their three-game set from Camden Yards. RHP Marcos Estrada struck out nine in only five innings but did not earn a decision. Former Bisons RHP Aaron Sanchez gets the ball tonight as the Blue Jays welcome Oakland to the Rogers Centre for a 7:07 p.m. first pitch.
