LHP Randy Wolf (3-0, 1.24) vs. RHP Zach Davies (1-1, 2.82)

Radio: ESPN 1520 AM, Bisons Baseball Network

Today's Game

Tonight, the Bisons take on the Norfolk Tides in the second game of a three-game series at Harbor Park (7:05 p.m.). The Tides came out on top in a marathon 14-inning game last night, 4-3. The loss was the Herd's fourth straight, dropping the club to 15-13 on the season.

vs. the Tides

The Bisons and Tides split a four-game series in Buffalo last week. The Herd needs to win tonight and tomorrow to earn the season-series win. The Bisons are 44-25 all time at Harbor Park (.638 winning pct).

Randy Wolf

LHP RANDY WOLF makes his team-best sixth start tonight. The southpaw has not given up an earned run in back-to-back starts, including six innings of work on Sunday against Louisville (1 R). Wolf leads all IL pitchers with a 1.24 ERA, mainly because he's allowed just one hit in 28 at-bats with runners in scoring position (.036 average).

Arms Race

The Bisons boast the best pitching staff in the International League. The club's 2.66 ERA is the lowest in the league and the staff has also walked the fewest batters (71). The Bisons also led the IL with a 3.52 ERA during the 2014 season.

Matt Hague

INF MATT HAGUE'S nine-game hit streak is tied for the 2nd-longest active streak in the IL, three-games behind Rochester's James Bereford's 12-game stretch. Hague has averaged .306 (11-26) since April 29 with two doubles, four RBI and three runs scored. Hague's 17th RBI last night also pulled him to within one of the IL lead.

Extra Extra Innings

Last night's loss was in the Bisons' first extra innings game of the season. At 14 innings, it was the Herd's longest game since a 1-0 win over Durham on June 23, 2013. The defeat was also the Bisons first this year when leading after the seventh or the eighth inning.

Bisons Bits

The Bisons have just one Triple-A home run this year on their roster, belonging to INF MATT HAGUE. Buffalo has not hit a home run in 442 at-bats, a stretch that goes back to April 25...INF JONATHAN DIAZ went 4-6 with a double last night. It's the fourth four-hit game by a Bisons player already this season

Blue Jays Update

The Blue Jays (15-15) picked up the 7-0 shutout win over the Red Sox on Friday night. Former Bison Aaron Sanchez allowed just two hits in seven shutout innings and Chris Colabello hit his first home run as a Blue Jay. Toronto will host Boston again today at 1:07 p.m.
