Today's Game

This evening, the Bisons take on the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRaiders in the first game of their three game series (7:05 p.m.). The Herd will continue their homestand, next hosting the Syracuse Chiefs for a four game set at Coca-Cola Field. Buffalo will then travel up the 90 to face the Rochester Red Wings for a 6-game series May 25-28. Buffalo will begin to make-up their previously postponed games, with two being completed in Rochester.

Last Game: BUF 5 PAW 4

The Bisons once again evened the season series Wednesday morning with a victory against the PawSox. RHP Chris Rowley tossed 4 innings giving up 4 runs in the no-decision. 2B Devon Travis hit his first home run of the season for the Herd, while OF Roemon Fields had 2 stolen bases. RHP Taylor Guerrieri, LHP Tim Mayza, and RHP Al Alburquerque threw a combined 5 shutout innings to secure the victory.

Today's Starter: LHP Ryan Borucki

LHP Ryan Borucki is making his seventh start of the season. The lefty is coming off of a six-inning outing in a 3-0 loss against Lehigh Valley on May 11. Borucki has thrown at least 5-innings and struck out at least 4 in his last 4 starts. This will be Ryan Borucki's second start of the season at Coca-Cola Field. His 5 road starts lead the Herd.

Scranton/Wilkes-Barre (1-2)

The Bisons and RailRaiders will play a total of 16 times this season. Buffalo took the first game of the season between the two teams but the RailRaiders claimed victory in the final two games of the set. Following this series, the Herd will play the RailRaiders next July 2-3 at Coca-Cola Field before heading to PNC Field in PA July 4-5 for another two game series.

Devon Travis

2B Devon Travis hit his first home run of the season for Buffalo on Wednesday. The round-tripper also plated OF Dalton Pompey. Travis finished the game going 1-4, adding a walk. The second baseman has now brought his on-base percentage up 50 points to .235 during his 5 game hitting streak.

Roemon Fields

OF Roemon Fields was 1-3 at the plate on Wednesday, adding a walk. With his 2 stolen bases, the reigning IL stolen base champ is now tied for third in stolen bases with nine. Six of his swiped bags have come in 13 games during the month of May.

Transactions

On Wednesday, RHP Danny Barnes was recalled by the Toronto Blue Jays.

Bisons Bits

With Wednesday's victory, the Bisons have now won a game this season while being out-hit (1-10)...With stolen bases from OF Roemon Fields and INF Lourdes Gurriel Jr., the Herd are now once again the leaders in stolen bases in the IL (39)..RHP Luis Santos has a shutout streak of 8.1 innings in 3 games, all in relief.

Blue Jays Update

Toronto (22-22) dropped the first game of the four game series 10-5 against the Oakland Athletics. OF Dwight Smith Jr. went 1-4 in the defeat and is hitting .400 in 5 games for the Jays. RHP Marco Estrada will take the hill as the Blue Jays look to bounce back from the opener (7:07 p.m.)
