Today's Game

This evening, the Bisons begin a six-day road trip in which they will play nine games. Tonight Buffalo and the Louisville Bats will play a doubleheader to begin their four-game series. The Herd will be the home team in game two of the twin bill due to their postponement on April 16 (inclement weather). The Bisons will play five games in three days in Indianapolis on the back half of the road trip. Buffalo will return from the road with a five-game series against Lehigh Valley that start on July 30, through August 2.

Last Game: BUF 5, DUR 3

RHP Sean Reid-Foley notched his seventh win for the Herd on Sunday, going six innings in the finale against the Durham Bulls. The righty struck out seven batters, while scattering two hits without allowing a run. C Danny Jansen homered in back-to-back innings for Buffalo in the win. Jansen is now tied for the team lead with 10HRs. 1B Rowdy Tellez also went 3-4 at the plate in the win.

Louisville (0-0)

The Bisons and Bats are meeting for the first time this season. Snow and inclement weather in April postponed the series in Buffalo between the two teams that was scheduled for April 16-18. The three-game series was part of a five-day stretch of postponements due to weather. Two of the three games were cancelled due to scheduling restrictions.

Today's Gm1 Starter: RHP Marco Estrada

RHP Marco Estrada is making a MLB rehab assignment start for the Bisons. The Blue Jays' starter was placed on the 10-day disabled list on July 13 with a left gluteus strain. It will be the first start for the righty since landing on the DL. Estrada is 4-7 for Toronto in 17 starts this season.

Today's Gm2 Starter: LHP Matt Tracy

LHP Matt Tracy is in search of his first win as a Bison, and will make his fourth start for the team in game two of the doubleheader against Louisville. Tracy was assigned to the Herd on July 1, and tossed five innings of scoreless baseball against Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on 7/4 in his Bisons' debut. Tracy last worked six innings in a no-decision against Norfolk on 7/18.

Danny Jansen

C Danny Jansen hit a pair of home runs on Sunday, giving him three since the All-Star break. He is now tied with 1B Rowdy Tellez and INF Jason Leblebijian for the team lead. His .275 batting average is second best on the team, in addition to his 50RBI. Jansen ranks second in the International League in on-base percentage with a .402 OBP.

On Monday, the Toronto Blue Jays announced that RHP Chris Rowley was claimed off of waivers by the Texas Rangers.

Bisons' Bits

Fields is now second in the team's modern era in steals, trailing OF Dave Roberts who stole 97 bases in parts of four seasons...The Herd has outscored opponents 41-33 in the first inning this season, while opponents have outscored Buffalo 39-27 in the ninth inning.

Blue Jays Update
