RailRiders Game with Knights Suspended Due to Rain

MOOSIC, Pa. - The Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders trail the Charlotte Knights 2-1 through in a game that has been suspended due to rain in the bottom of the third inning.

The Knights jumped on the board in the top of the second as Matt Skole led off with a single. Trayce Thompson walked and Dustin Garneau plated Skole with a base hit of his own to give Charlotte a 1-0 lead. The RailRiders responded in the bottom half of the inning when Mike Ford hit a solo shot to tie the game at one apiece.

The Knights added another run in the top of the third inning as Charlie Tilson singled and Ryan LaMarre doubled to bring him home. In the bottom half of the inning, Mark Payton and Tyler Austin grounded out, Billy McKinney walked and the tarp was put on at 8:06 p.m.

Two hours later, the game was then suspended and will resume Wednesday at 5:05 p.m. The resumption of that game will be started by RHP Erik Swanson (1-1, 4.54) for the RailRiders and RHP Raynel Espinal (3-1, 2.11) gets the nod in Game Two. Pregame coverage with Adam Marco and Adam Giardino begins at 4:35 p.m.
