Bisons Add RHP Ryota Igarashi to Roster

The Buffalo Bisons today announced that RHP RYOTA IGARASHI has been activated to the club's roster from Single-A St. Lucie.

The New York Mets announced today that they have recalled INF JUSTIN TURNER from the Bisons.

Igarashi, 30, is joining the Bisons for a second time this season. The reliever made a rehab stint with the Herd from May 20-21 and pitched a shutout inning of relief in back-to-back games (H, BB, K).

Igarashi was 0-1 with a 7.91ERA in 22 outings with the Mets this season (19.1IP, 20H, 17R, 17ER, 13BB, 14K). He was optioned by New York to St. Lucie last week. With St. Lucie, Igarashi tossed five shutout innings over three appearances.

Turner, 25, hit .297 (52-175) with 26 runs scored, nine doubles, three home runs and 16RBI in 42 games for the Bisons. He joined the Bisons on May 25 after being claimed off waivers from the Baltimore Orioles.
