Bisons Add OF Kevin Pillar from New Hampshire

The Buffalo Bisons today announced that OF KEVIN PILLAR has been promoted to the club from Double-A New Hampshire. To make roster room, the Blue Jays have released OF Ryan Langerhans.

Pillar, 24, is in just his third season as a pro after being drafted by the Blue Jays in the 32nd round of the 2011 draft. In 71 games with New Hampshire this season, the outfielder has hit .313 (95-304) with 20 doubles, five home runs and 30 RBI. Pillar also has 15 stolen bases in 23 attempts for the Fisher Cats.

In his first 259 games as a pro, Pillar has averaged .325 (338-1,040) with 65 doubles and 18 home runs. He split last season with Single-A Lansing and Single-A Dunedin and stole a combined 51 bases in 60 attempts.

Langerhans played 51 games with the Bisons this season and hit .220 (37-168) with nine home runs and 25 RBI.
