Bisons Add Acosta, Ryan to Active Roster

The Buffalo Bisons today announced the RHP MANNY ACOSTA and C DUSTY RYAN have been added to the club's active roster. Both players will be in uniform tonight for the Herd's 6:35 p.m. game against the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Yankees at PNC Field.

To make room on the roster, OF JESUS FELICIANO has been transferred to Double-A Binghamton and C SALOMON MANRIQUEZ has been transferred to Single-A Brooklyn.

Acosta, 29, split last season between the Bisons and the New York Mets. The reliever made 28 appearances out of the Herd bullpen and was 2-3 with a 3.47ERA and five saves (36.1IP, 36K). he ranked first on the team in games finished (19) and third in saves. Opponents hit just .220 off Acosta at Triple-A in 2010.

With the Mets last season, Acosta was 3-2 with a 2.95ERA and one save in 41 appearances.

Ryan, 26, was signed by the Mets as a minor league free agent this past December. The eight-year veteran played 27 games with the Detroit Tigers from 2008-2009. Last season, the backstop hit .199 (52-261) with seven home runs and 30RBI in 89 games with Triple-A Portland. He hit .296 (29-98) after the All-Star break last season.

Feliciano hit .111 (1-9) with one RBI in five games with the Bisons this season. Manriquez played in two Bisons games and hit .200 (1-5) with a double.
