Syracuse Mets News Release
Wednesday's game between the Syracuse Chiefs and the Pawtucket Red Sox has been postponed due to rain. First pitch was scheduled for 2:20 p.m. but the game was officially cancelled shortly after 3:00 p.m. The game will now be part of a doubleheader starting Thursday at 2 p.m. at Alliance Bank Stadium. Both games will be seven innings.
Chiefs pitcher Yunesky Maya was expected to start today's game against Pawtucket's Kyle Weiland. That pairing will battle in the first game of Thursday's doubleheader while Syracuse's Ross Detwiler and the Red Sox's Matt Fox will take the mound in the second matchup.
Fans with purchased tickets for today's game can redeem their ticket stub at tomorrow's game or any other 2011 regular season home game. Season ticket holders should check the back of their ticket for the unused season ticket policy.
