Bisons Activate RHP Adam Miller

April 23, 2008 - International League (IL1)
Buffalo Bisons News Release

The Buffalo Bisons have activated RHP Adam Miller today from the team's disabled list. The pitcher is scheduled to start tonight's game against the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Yankees at PNC (7:00 p.m.).

Miller, 23, will be making his 2008 debut with the club tonight. In two spring games with the Bisons, Miller posted a 3.00ERA in six innings of work (4H, 2R, 2ER, 3BB, 6K). For the second straight year, Miller was named the Cleveland Indians #1 prospect by Baseball America.

Last season, Miller was 5-4 with a 4.82ERA in 19 games with the Bisons (65.1IP, 68H, 39R, 35ER, 21BB, 68K). His year was drastically cut short by a pair of injuries as he spent time on the Bisons disabled list from May 30-June 25 (bruised ligament in middle finger) and from July 29-August 19 (inflammation in right elbow). Miller still finished the season 4th on the Bisons with 68 strikeouts.

No other roster move was needed to Miller to join the team. The Bisons were one player under their 24-man limit after OF Ben Francisco was recalled to Cleveland on Tuesday.
