TODAY'S GAME: Tonight, the Bisons face the Charlotte Knights in the second game of a four-game series from Coca-Cola Field (7:05 p.m.). The Knights struck first in the series with an 8-6 victory in 11 innings, last night. The Herd is now 3-2 on their current eight-game homestand that began with a series win over the Tides. Buffalo is now 13-6 at Coca-Cola Field.

BAD KNIGHTS: The Bisons are 0-1 against Charlotte this year after last night's defeat. Dating back to 2009, Buffalo has now lost its last seven games to the Knights. That stretch includes an 0-5 mark at Coca-Cola Field as the Knights swept four from the Herd, June 27-30, 2009.

WOUNDED HERD: The Bisons placed OF JASON PRIDIE and INF ALEX CINTRON on the disabled list. Pridie suffered a right hamstring strain last night while Cintron has a left wrist sprain from last Friday. The Bisons now have six players on the disabled list.

ROSTER MOVES: RHP JOSE DE LA TORRE and INF JONATHAN MALO has been promoted to the Bisons from Double-A Binghamton. De La Torre had a 2.05ERA and two saves in 15 games for the B-Mets, while Malo hit .232 (19-69) with one home run and 10RBI in 25 games. OF EMMANUAL GARCIA has also joined the Herd from St. Lucie where he stole 16 bases in 19 attempts.

GET IGGY WITH IT: RHP RYOTA IGARASHI has joined the Bisons on a MLB rehab assignment. The reliever is expected to pitch Thursday and Friday for the Herd. Igarashi has been on the Mets' DL since April 21 when he suffered a moderate injury to his left hamstring. He posted a 1.35ERA in seven relief appearances with New York before the injury.

BEST IN BASEBALL: INF MIKE HESSMAN continues to lead all of baseball with his 45RBI. He's two ahead of Single-A Lexington Legends' INF KODY HINZE (43). Hessman also leads the International League in home runs (13), extra-base hits (28), total bases (99) and slugging pct. (.697).

TOP HITTER: OF JESUS FELICIANO reached base five times yesterday with two hits and three walks. The outfielder leads the International League with his .375 (42-112) batting average and enters tonight on a seven-game hit streak.

METS UPDATE: The Mets (19-21) have selected the contract of Bisons RHP R.A. DICKEY. The knuckleballer is expected to start for New York tonight against the Washington Nationals (7:05 p.m.). Dickey was third in the International League with his 2.23ERA and topped all IL pitchers with two complete games and 60.2 innings of work.
