JACKSON, Tenn. -- James Houser and two relievers threw a two-hit shutout and set down 20 in a row as the Montgomery Biscuits (21-18) won their third straight over the West Tenn Diamond Jaxx (17-21), 4-0, at Pringles Park Tuesday night.

Houser, who had missed three straight starts with a strained olique muscle, allowed a hit in the first inning, another in the second and a walk in the third, then set down the last 12 he faced. The 22-year-old struck out seven in his 6 1/3-inning start, moving to 2-0. He has won each of his last 13 starts, dating back to last May.

Relievers Richard De Los Santos (1 2/3 innings) and Nick DeBarr (1 inning) were also perfect.

The game was delayed by rain twice for a total of 51 minutes while the county was under severe thunderstorm warning. It started at 7:20 and the clubs waited again for 36 minutes with one out in the ninth inning.

West Tenn starter Doug Fister hit Evan Longoria on the left elbow in the third baseman's first plate appearance in the second inning. Although it extended Longoria's on-base streak to 33 games, the elbow swelled throughout the game, forcing him to come out of the game after the third inning.

After Longoria was hit, however, John Jaso, Chris Nowak and Shaun Cumberland knocked out consecutive singles. Longoria scored on Nowak's hit and Jaso scored on a double play.

Jaso reached base in all four of his plate appearances, including a double in the midst of a run-scoring sixth inning and a walk in the eighth. Nowak plated Jaso in that inning with a triple. He knocked in three of the Biscuits' four runs.

Fister didn't walk any Biscuits in his five innings, but he allowed six hits. Jason Pridie hit his first pitch of the game into right field to extend the outfielder's hitting streak to 12 games.

The Biscuits sealed the series victory, their first series win on the road this season and their first ever series win at Pringles Park. The final game of the series is Tuesday morning at 11:05 a.m. Montgomery lefty Jon Barratt (0-1) will pitch against West Tenn hurler Joe Woermann (0-1).
