Biscuits Lose Fifth Straight

JACKSON, Tenn. - The Biscuits (60-63, 23-30) dropped their fifth-straight game after a six-run second inning guided the Jackson Generals (54-63, 24-25) to a 10-1 victory over the Biscuits Thursday night at Generals Park.

Jabari Blash crushed a two-run homer to left to start the scoring in the second to make it 2-0 Generals. Later in the inning, Ramon Morla drove in two more runs with a single. Ji-Man Choi then drove in the last two runs of the inning on a fly ball that Kyeong Kang lost in the twilight skies to make it 6-0 Jackson. All runs were charged to Jake Thompson (11-10) who picked up the loss.

The Biscuits scored their only run of the game in the fifth inning when Curt Casali drove in Shawn O'Malley with a double.

Casali finished his night 2-for-4 while Robi Estrada cashed in with three hits.

The Generals pulled further away with one run in the fifth, two in the seventh and one in the eighth.

Jabari Blash hit two home runs while finishing 3-for-4 with three RBI and three runs scored.

Game four in the series is Friday night at 7:05. LHP Enny Romero will be on the mound for the Biscuits. The Generals will have LHP Roenis Elias toe the rubber.
