JACKSON, Tenn. - The Jackson Generals (37-56/8-17) scored three runs in the ninth inning to come back and beat the Biscuits (48-45/14-11) 6-5 in the series opener at Generals Park Wednesday night.

The Biscuits led 5-3 since the fifth inning. After allowing three runs in the first inning, Chris Kirsch had settled in to retire the last ten batters he faced in his six innings of work. Kirsch was inline for his first AA win until the ninth.

Parker Marker (5-3) walked the bases loaded with one out in the ninth. After getting Tyler Bortnick to fly out for the second out, Ian Miller singled up the middle to drive in two runs and tie the game. Tyler Smith then came to the plate but did not get a chance to swing as Markel threw a wild pitch that allowed the winning run to score from third.

The Biscuits are now 4-15 on the road since the start of June.

The Biscuits got RBI singles from Jake Bauers and Leonardo Reginatto in the second inning then tied the game when Joey Rickard stole third and scored on a throwing error. The Biscuits matched a team record by stealing seven bases. Montgomery took the lead in the fourth with an RBI groundout from Tyler Goeddel.

Game two of the series is Thursday night at 7:05. RH Jared Mortensen will throw against RH Edwin Diaz.
