Jackson, Tenn. - After giving up an early 3-0 advantage, the Jackson Generals roared back with three runs in the bottom of the ninth for a 6-5 walk-off win Wednesday over the Montgomery Biscuits at The Ballpark at Jackson. Ian Miller tied the game with a two-out, two-run single before Julio Morban scored the winning run on a wild pitch by Parker Markel. Jackson snapped a five-game losing streak with the victory.

The Generals (8-17, 37-56) opened the game with a quick three-run rally in the bottom of the first inning. Miller and Tyler Smith hit back-to-back singles and both scored on a double from D.J. Peterson. A sacrifice bunt moved Peterson to third base, allowing him to come home during Marcus Littlewood's RBI double.

Montgomery (14-11, 48-45) answered with five consecutive runs, starting a two-run rally in the second. Jake Bauers' one-out single drove in Johnny Field Jr. for the first Biscuits run. Bauers later scored on an RBI single from Leonardo Reginatto, cutting the deficit to 3-2. Tommy Coyle followed with a double, but Reginatto was thrown out at home while trying to score on the extra-base hit.

The Biscuits scored in each of the next three innings to take a 5-3 lead. Joey Rickard used his speed in the third inning with a single, a stolen base, and another steal coupled with an error to even the score. During the top of the fourth, Patrick Leonard singled and scored the go-ahead run after a stolen base and a pair of groundouts. Rickard scored again in the fifth inning, drawing another single and later scoring on a force out off the bat of Dayron Varona.

Down to its final out, Jackson rallied in the bottom of the ninth for its first walk-off win of the season. Markel walked three of the first four batters in the frame, loading the bases with free passes to Littlewood, Aderlin Rodriguez and pinch-hitter Julio Morban. After a fly out, Miller batted with two outs and stroked a single into right-center field to bring in pinch-runner Luis Caballero and Rodriguez. Morban moved to third base on the game-tying hit and scored the winning run on a wild pitch to Smith for a 6-5 Jackson triumph.

Kyle Hunter (2-0) received the victory, pitching 1.1 scoreless innings of relief in a shutout performance by the Generals bullpen. Markel (5-3) was charged with a blown save and a loss. Jackson's comeback win denied Montgomery's Chris Kirsch from earning his first Double-A victory. Kirsch recorded a quality start and retired the final 10 batters that he faced in a no-decision.

Game two of this series for Jackson and Montgomery is scheduled for 7:05 p.m. CT Thursday. Generals right-hander Edwin Diaz (3-7, 4.57) will face Biscuits right-hander Jared Mortensen (5-3, 3.43).
