MEMPHIS, TN - Memphis used a late rally to beat Oklahoma City and finish off a four-game sweep, slipping past the RedHawks 9-8 Monday night at AutoZone Park.

After dominating the Hawks through the first three games, the Redbirds took a quick 6-1 lead by the third inning with a two-run single by Steven Hill in the first and a grand slam by Hill, his second in two days, in the third. Oklahoma City closed the gap at two runs with a four-run fourth inning and eventually tied it up at eight in the eighth with a two-run pinch-hit homer by Fernando Martinez off reliever Adam Reifer. Eduardo Sanchez took over for Reifer and held off the Hawks for the last 1.1 innings for the win.

Mark Hamilton played the hero, driving in the winning run in the bottom of the ninth with a single to left field. Hill led the Redbirds going 3-for-4 at the plate with six RBI; the catcher collected eight consecutive hits in his last two games to set a new Redbirds record.

Tony Abreu took the loss for Oklahoma City allowing the winning run on one hit and two walks in just 0.1 innings.

Memphis hits the road tomorrow night at Nashville with first pitch scheduled for 7:05 p.m. The Redbirds return home Saturday night to begin a five-game series with Round Rock. For ticket information call 901.721.6000 or visit memphisredbirds.com.
