Binghamton Announces Roster Moves

BINGHAMTON, N.Y. - The Binghamton Senators announced today several roster changes. Goaltender Scott Greenham has been recalled by the B-Sens from their East Coast Hockey League affiliate, the Elmira Jackals. Binghamton's National Hockey League affiliate, the Ottawa Senators, have reassigned defenseman Troy Rutkowski to the B-Sens from Elmira. Also, forward Ludwig Karlsson has been reassigned to the Jackals from Binghamton.

Greenham, 26, has played in 19 games this season with the Jackals going 6-10-2 with a 3.08 goals-against average, a .908 save percentage and one shutout victory. A native of Ottawa, Ontario Greenham appeared in one conest with Binghamton last season, a 5-1 win over the Syracuse Crunch in the last game of the regular season. He allowed no goals and made seven saves in 11 minutes of ice-time. Prior to coming to the Senators organization, Greenham had appeared in four American Hockey League games, two with the Houston Aeros and two with the Hershey Bears, going a combined 0-3.

Rutkowski rejoins the B-Sens for a fourth stint this season after having been down with Elmira since December 2. The 21-year-old rookie defenseman has played in eight games this season with Binghamton recording one goal and two penalty minutes. Rutkowski has tallied five assists in 20 games with the Jackals this season. Prior to starting his profession campaign with the Sens, Rutkowski played five seasons with the Portland Winterhawks of the Western Hockey League registering 216 points in 351 career games.

Karlsson has skated in eight games with Binghamton this season recording zero points. The Stockholm, Sweden native has recorded eleven points (four goals, seven assists) in 20 games played this season with Elmira.

Binghamton returns to action Wednesday night when they travel to Adirondack for a 7:00p.m. puck drop versus the Phantoms. The B-Sens will be back on home ice Friday night to host the Bridgeport Sound Tigers before traveling to Syracuse on Saturday to round out their weekend.
