Reno Bighorns News Release
RENO, NEV., DECEMBER 19, 2014 - The Reno Bighorns will host its annual winter break youth basketball camp at the Reno Events Center January 5-6, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. each day. The camp is designed for girls and boys of all skill levels, ages 6-18. Tuition is $25.
Jan. 5 will be set aside for campers ages 6-11, while Jan. 6 will be for ages 12-18.
The goal of the camp is to provide each camper with the fundamentals of basketball, including shooting, passing, ball handling, rebounding, defense and team play. The camp offers skill development, individual instruction, and basketball games.
Each camp participant will receive a Bighorns t-shirt, two center seat tickets to the Bighorns Jan. 6 home game, certificate of participation, and an on-court recognition at the Jan.6 game.
Bighorns head coach, Dave Arseneault, Jr. will lead the camp, along with current Bighorns coached and players.
"I enjoy working with kids and teaching them the game of basketball," said Arseneault. "I can't wait to work with the youth of the Reno/Sparks area and continue to develop a strong off the court bond between the Bighorns and the community."
Campers should bring their own water bottle, snacks, and wear basketball attire.
