
Bighorns Fall to Santa Cruz at Home

RENO, NV - With a shorthanded roster of nine players, the Bighorns managed to score
just under the 100 point mark but failed to defeat the Santa Cruz Warriors taking a 92-127 loss at the Reno
Events Center Friday Night.
Tajuan Porter paced the Bighorns with 29 points, three assists and six rebounds. David Wear logged a
double-double with 13 points, 10 rebounds and three assists. Cameron Ayers had 12 points, three rebounds,
three steals and two assists.
James Michael McAdoo, who is on assignment from the Golden State Warriors, led Santa Cruz with 27 points,
seven rebounds and two assists. Mychel Thompson totaled 24 points and five rebounds. Dominique Sutton had
19 points and fifteen rebounds.
During the first quarter, Sim Bhullar and Porter led the Bighorns with five points each. Bhullar had three rebounds
in the quarter while Ra'Shad James and Ty Walker had four points each. Jordan Hamilton totaled four assists in the
quarter.
In the second, Porter notched 11 points and five rebounds. Cameron Ayers tallied five points while David Wear had
three rebounds and two assists. The Bighorns out-scored the Warriors 31-21 in the quarter.
The Bighorns went into the locker room at the half trailing the Warriors 65-54.
Wear led the Bighorns in the third quarter with nine points. Porter added six points for the Bighorns in the quarter
while Hamilton added five rebounds.
In the final quarter of play, Porter led the Bighorns with seven points. Ayers notched four points and three steals in the
final quarter. Wear totaled three rebounds while Walker added four rebounds.
The Bighorns return to the Reno Events Center tomorrow night (Sunday, Feb. 22) at 4 p.m. to take on the Los Angeles D-Fenders for
Kings Affiliate Night.
