Big Third Period Vaults Condors Past Victoria 4-1

Victoria, British Columbia, Canada - The Bakersfield Condors scored four times in the final period to erase a 1-0 deficit and hand the Victoria Salmon Kings a 4-1 loss at the Bear Mountain Arena on Saturday night.
Friday's game started with five first period goals and 28 combined shots. In a much different start to tonight's game, neither team got on the scoreboard, and only nine total shots on goal were taken. The Salmon Kings took the advantage early in the second period when Alexei Glukhov slid a backhander past Yutaka Fukufuji for his fourth goal of the season. A key point came when Victoria killed off two minutes of a two-man advantage for the Condors late in the second to hold the lead.
When Paul Rosebush tied the game at 8:08 of the third period, Bakersfield took over. Mathieu Brunelle scored his sixth goal in his fourth game for Bakersfield just 52 seconds later for the go-ahead tally. Brett Lutes and Connor James (shorthanded) closed out the scoring for the Condors, who came back from a third period deficit to win for the seventh time this season and fifth time on the road.
The Condors return home for a March 11th meeting with the Alaska Aces at the Rabobank Arena. That night the ZOOperstars return to Bakersfield, featuring the likes of Shaquille O'Seal, Snail Earnhardt, Jr. and LeBronco James, sponsored by Bright House Networks and 101.5 KGFM.
