Big Inning Sinks Biscuits

Montgomery Biscuits News Release

MONTGOMERY, Ala. - A six-run second inning was too much for the Biscuits (1-4) to come back from in an 11-5 loss to the Chattanooga Lookouts (4-1) Monday afternoon at Riverwalk Stadium.

Chattanooga sent ten men to the plate in the sixth. A sacrifice fly and bases loaded walk scored the first two runs of the inning to give the Lookouts a 2-0 lead. Then a two-run double and a two-run single by Travis Harrison and Stuart Turner, respectively, completed the inning. The Lookouts went on to add one run in the seventh and one in the eighth before putting up a three-spot in the ninth on a 15-hit day.

The Biscuits got on the board for the first time in the game with a two-run home run from Justin O'Conner, his first of the season. Tyler Goeddel drove in a run in the eighth inning. Leonardo Reginatto followed with a two-run single to make it 8-5 before Chattanooga pulled away in the ninth.

Bradin Hagens pitched well out of the pen for the second time, going five innings and surrendering only one run.

The Biscuits will have an off day on Tuesday before starting a five-game series at Jacksonville on Wednesday. RH Jaime Schultz will be on the hill for the Biscuits while the Suns will throw RH Trevor Williams. First pitch is scheduled for 6:05 CT from the Baseball Grounds.
