Shuckers and Wahoos Postponed Due to Rain Monday Night

PENSACOLA, FLA. - Monday night's series finale between the Biloxi Shuckers and Pensacola Blue Wahoos has been postponed due to rain. The game will be made up as part of a doubleheader when the Shuckers return to Pensacola Bayfront Stadium on Sunday, April 26. The twin bill will feature two seven-inning games, with game one beginning at 2:00 p.m. Game two will follow 30 minutes after the conclusion of game one.

The Shuckers travel to Biloxi for the first time and host Tuesday's "Meet the Shuckers" event, which will be held at Beau Rivage's Coast Restaurant from 7-9 p.m. . The event is a free and open the public. The event will feature player introductions, an autograph session, photo opportunities, giveaways and even a special "Shuckers Menu" for ordering.

On Wednesday, the club will make the short trek to Hank Aaron Stadium and open a five-game series against the Mobile BayBears (ARI), with first pitch of the opener scheduled for 6:35 PM. RHP Brooks Hall (1-0, 0.00) will make the start for Biloxi, opposite RHP Aaron Blair (1-0, 4.50) for the BayBears.

The Shuckers are 3-1 to open the inaugural season and tied for first place in the Southern League South Division standings. Currently, the Shuckers lead the league in batting (.301), while the pitching staff has surrendered the fewest hits (15), holding the Wahoos to a .150 batting average during the opening series. Infielder Orlando Arcia, through three games is leading the league in batting average (.533), on-base percentage (.588), hits (8) and slugging percentage (.800).
