Big fourth drops Carolina

Zebulon, NC --- Drew Anderson hit a three-run homer to ignite a six-run fourth inning as Chattanooga defeated Carolina 7-2 at Five County Stadium on Tuesday night.
Anderson swatted a 1-1 pitch from Manu Olivera (L, 0-3) against the net of the lower portion of the left field scoreboard to give the Lookouts (8-11) a 4-2 lead. The first six of the frame hit safely against Olivera, who entered the inning with a 2-0 lead.
Carolina (6-13) scored twice with two outs in the first inning on singles by Lee Mitchell and Frank Moore, the first runs scored for Olivera in three starts.
Chattanooga added a run in the sixth inning against reliever Scott Nestor on a two-out double by Cody Strait.
The Mudcats are 4-5 on their first homestand of the year, and play the rubber game against the Lookouts Wednesday night at 7:15. James Brauer (0-3, 4.72) starts against Luke Lockwood (0-2, 5.50).
