Toledo came out firing by taking a 3-0 lead in the first period. The first came from Kyle Bonis (13th) when he took an Andrew Prochno pass and scored on a breakaway. Austin Wuthrich tapped in a rebound from the Dominic Zombo shot at 16:01 for a 2-0 lead. The 14th of the year for Wuthrich gave Toledo a 3-0 lead and was a power play goal, which snapped a string of nine consecutive games without a power play goal. The power wasn't done as Joel Chouinard (7th) wristed in a shot from the blue line at 5:45 of the second period for a 4-0 lead. The Beast scored at 7:22 of the period, but the Walleye held a 4-1 cushion after two periods.
Dominic Zombo (9th) pushed the Walleye lead to 5-1 when he sent a rebound into the back of the net at 13:16 of the third period. Toledo finished the game with two power play goals in five opportunities.
Walleye Notes: Goaltender Jake Paterson started and stopped 22 of Brampton's 23 shots and his record is 16-9-1-1 on the season. Toledo finished the season series with a record of 9-1-1 vs. Brampton.
