Lancaster Stormers News Release
The Lancaster Barnstormers will wrap up their inaugural season with three games against the Newark Bears, along with a huge schedule of promotions and activities at Clipper Magazine Stadium this weekend.
Friday is Tribute to the Red Roses Night and Red Roses jersey auction, sponsored by Nike. The Barnstormers will be wearing replica Red Roses jerseys during the game, which will then be auctioned off, with proceeds going to the Gaudenzia House. Several former Red Roses players and personnel will be recognized prior to the game and will take the field with the Barnstormers.
Saturday will feature a post-game, season-ending fireworks spectacular, sponsored by Warfel Construction. It is also 80's Night at Clipper Magazine Stadium, with the 80's tribute band, "Misbehave," playing on the front pad prior to the game. "Barnstormer Fan on Board" signs will be given away to fans, courtesy of Wachovia Mortgage Corporation.
The inaugural season comes to an end with Fan Appreciation Day on Sunday, presented by Bon Voyage Travel and Apple Vacations. Gates will open at noon for fans to come down on the field to get pictures and autographs from their favorite Barnstormers players and coaches. Other pre-game activities will include the presentation of our "Player of the Year" and "Barnstorming in the Community" Awards.
Various giveaways will take place between innings on Sunday, culminating with the winner of an all-expense, 4-Day, 3-Night trip for two to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic being announced, courtesy of Bon Voyage Travel and Apple Vacations. Fans can register to win this trip throughout the entire weekend and up until the fourth inning of Sunday's game. The celebration will continue after the game during our post-game family base run, presented by HealthAmerica. Once again, ALL fans will be invited onto the field to run the bases.
