Peoria Rivermen News Release
Peoria, Ill. (December 2, 2008) - The Peoria Rivermen are accepting monetary donations in hopes to bring the entire student body of Thomas Jefferson Primary School to the Rivermen game on December 19. Each $10 donation will generate one ticket for the students of the school that was destroyed by a fire on November 2.
Through the generous contributions of numerous fans as well as the Rivermen players and training staff, nearly 300 tickets have already been purchased for the students. That leaves just under 200 tickets unaccounted for in order to bring the 475 students out to see the game.
Fans wanting to donate are encouraged to call the Rivermen office at 309-676-1040 or email tickets@rivermen.net.
The Rivermen are home this weekend for games on both Friday and Saturday at 7:00 p.m. Tickets are available at the Peoria Civic Center Box Office, by calling (309) 676-1040 or online at www.rivermen.net.
