December 31, 2010 - NBA G League (G League)
Iowa Wolves News Release

BISMARCK, ND - Guard Chris Lofton scored 21 points and knocked down five 3-pointers to lead the Iowa Energy to a 103-91 win over the Dakota Wizards Friday night.

Iowa used a huge 3rd quarter to break open a close game that saw Dakota take a 44-43 lead into halftime. The Wizards scored the first four points after the half to extend their lead to 48-43. But Iowa, which leads the NBA D-League with a 12-5 record, outscored Dakota 38-13 the rest of the quarter to take a commanding 81-61 lead into the 4th quarter.

Dakota would cut the lead to eight in the final quarter, but never threatened the Energy lead. Iowa has now won all five meetings with Dakota this season.

Lofton and Othyus Jeffers led the Energy with 21 points each. Jeffers added 10 rebounds while Curtis Stinson finished with 16 points and 10 assists.

Center Chris Johnson led the Wizards with 15 points and 16 rebounds. The loss drops Dakota to 4-12 on the year.

The Energy will remain in Bismarck to take on the Wizards Monday night at 7pm before heading to Reno next week. Iowa returns home on Sunday, January 16th vs. Ft. Wayne. Tickets are available at www.dahlstickets.com, by calling 564-8550 or at the arena box office.
