OKLAHOMA CITY THUNDER ASSIGNS COLE ALDRICH TO NBA D-LEAGUE AFFILIATE TULSA 66ERS
Oklahoma City Thunder center Cole Aldrich was reassigned to the Tulsa 66ers, the Thunder's NBA Development League affiliate, it was announced today. The assignment marks the 24th time in the 2010-11 season an NBA player has been assigned to an NBA D-League affiliate, and it is the second assignment for Aldrich, a rookie out of Kansas. Aldrich (6-11, 245) was first assigned to Tulsa on Nov. 24. He averaged 7.8 points, 7.2 rebounds and 27.4 minutes in five games with the 66ers before being recalled. Aldrich has appeared in seven games this season for the Thunder, averaging 1.0 points and 1.9 rebounds in 7.9 minutes. Oklahoma City acquired Aldrich, the 11th overall pick of the 2010 NBA Draft, in a draft-day swap with the New Orleans Hornets. A member of Kansas' National Championship team in 2008, Aldrich averaged 9.4 points and 7.7 rebounds in 111 games over a three-year career with the Jayhawks. The school's record holder for blocks in a season (125), Aldrich was an AP Third Team All-American and the Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year as a junior.

Kenny Taylor's three pointer with 11 seconds left lifted Bakersfield over Reno, 100-97. Trey Johnson led the Jam with 23 points. Jeremy Lin, on assignment from the Golden State Warriors, poured in 20 points for Reno, while Marcus Landry had 22 points and nine rebounds. Patrick Ewing, Jr. added 13 points, 12 rebounds and eight assists for the Bighorns.
Robert Vaden scored 21 points, and Latavious Williams had 16 points and 11 rebounds to lead Tulsa past Austin. Marcus Cousin led Austin with 21 points and 11 rebounds.
DeShawn Sims and Eugene Spates each scored 21 points to lead Maine over Erie. Tiny Gallon added 19 points and nine rebounds for the Red Claws, who won for the fifth time in six games. Kyle Spain and Ivan Johnson each scored 20 points for Erie.

Orlando's Brandon Bass had 14 points and seven rebounds in a win over New York.
