Bennett to MASL Team of the Week; Honorable Mention to Walls and Vorberg

MKE Wave Forward #26 Ian Bennett has been named to the Major Arena Soccer League's Team of the Week after his four-goal performance led the Wave to a 9-4 victory over the Detroit Waza Flo.

"The team is coming together and playing very well this last part of the season," said Bennett. "I'm blessed to be part of such a great group of guys and look forward to the post season."

Bennett leads the team with 28 points, which also ranks 15th best in the Major Arena Soccer League.

The MASL also made honorable mention of MKE Wave Forward - #15 Tony Walls (3-goals) and Goalkeeper #0 Nick Vorberg (SA12, SV 8, G 4) who both had stellar performances in Sunday's game vs Wichita 52's.

After wins at Detroit and vs. Wichita this weekend, your MKE Wave sit in second place in the MASL Central Division and look to close out the season strong.

"We continue to show signs of improvement as a team and that's what we want heading into the playoffs," said Head Coach Giuliano Oliviero.

Your MKE Wave will be in action next week for a pair of games on the road Friday, February 6th, 7:05pm (CST) vs Tulsa Revolution and Saturday, February 7th, 7:05pm (CST) vs Wichita B52's. Next home game at UW-Milwaukee Panther Arena is Saturday, February 14th, 1:05pm (CST) vs Syracuse Silver Knights.
