Revolution Home Friday Night
January 28, 2015 - Major Arena Soccer League (MASL)
Tulsa Revolution News Release
A new beginning for the Tulsa Revolution kicks off this Friday night, 7:05 p.m., at the Expo Square Pavilion. Tulsa will play host to one of the two Major Arena Soccer League teams based in Mexico, Rancho Seco Saltillo.
Not only does the Revolution have a new home arena, on the Tulsa County Fair Grounds, but also interim head coach Alex Miranda will be behind the bench for the first time at home.
The Revolution Premier (amateur) team is also scheduled to take the field as they battle for a playoff spot against the Wichita B-52's Premiere squad immediately following the MASL match. Tickets purchased will be valid for both games.
"We are excited about this move as the facility is easier to access and has ample FREE parking for fans," said Revolution Owner/General Manager Adam Mellor. "The MASL is a tough league and much tougher than we had anticipated. Our goal for the Revolution is for it to become a self-sustaining ball club. This is not an easy task and there will be plenty more ups and downs before that happens. But with hard work, determination, and sacrifice, we believe pro indoor soccer can be a part of Tulsa's sporting culture for many years to come."
"We would like to thank our fans for standing by us while we are going through these growing pains, our sponsors for supporting us and helping to keep indoor soccer in Tulsa, and of course the MASL for their hard work and dedication to its teams," Mellor said.
