
Bells Take Series Finale from HarbourCats

Two innings made the difference in the Victoria HarbourCats' 8-0 home loss to the Belligham Bells on Sunday in front of a crowd of 1,256 at Sports Traders Diamond.
The Bells, the top team in the West Coast League, scored three times in the fifth inning and five more times in the sixth to seal their 33rd victory of the season, and hand the HarbourCats their 14th home loss and 26th overall (22-26).
Seth Martinez was the winning pitcher with six innings and just three hits allowed. Carson Schneider started for Victoria and took the loss, with Ryan Keller and Tim Peabody contributing with relief work.
Dustin Breshears, Jack Klein and Garret Harpole hit home runs for the Bells.
The HarbourCats head on the road to face the Walla Walla Sweets in a three-game series that goes Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, then return home for the final regular season set, with the Kitsap BlueJackets.
Friday's game is Mike's Hard Lemonade Military Appreciation Night, and Saturday's game is Wallace Driving School Fireworks. Sunday, an afternoon game, is Pure Day Spa Fan Appreciation game.
