
Bellefeuille back in Charlotte

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - The Charlotte Checkers announced today that Blake Bellefeuille has been assigned to Charlotte by the Philadelphia Phantoms of the American Hockey League. Bellefeuille, a center, returns to the Checkers after a 22 game stint in the AHL.
Bellefeuille, 28, recorded three assists during his time with the Phantoms. Bellefeuille also skated in five games with the Hartford Wolf Pack of the AHL earlier this season recording two points (1g, 1a).
Bellefeuille skated in 20 games with the Checkers earlier this season scoring 17 points (7g, 10a) with a plus-minus rating of +3. Bellefeuille registered a hat trick on December 9th against South Carolina in a 5-4 Checkers win.
The Checkers wrap up the regular season home schedule with Fan Appreciation Night on Thursday against the South Carolina Stingrays. The first 2,000 fans will receive a Steve MacIntyre bobblehead.
