RoadRunners Honored At Booster Club Banquet

Phoenix, Ariz. - Captain Dean Tiltgen and rookie defenseman Dusty Demianiuk each took home multiple awards at last night's first annual Phoenix RoadRunners Booster Club End-of-Season Awards Banquet held at Alice Cooper'stown Restaurant in downtown Phoenix.

Tiltgen, the RoadRunners leading scorer with 11 goals and 33 points, received the Hustle Award and was named the team's Most Valuable Player.

Demianiuk received Rookie of the Year and Defenseman of the Year honors. Other award winners included forwards Justin Quenneville (Forward of the Year) and Mike Ouellet (Booster Club Fan Favorite). Defenseman Paul Ballantyne received the first ever Golden Crutch Award in recognition of all his efforts and contributions to the team despite suffering through an injury-plagued season.

The winners were selected in a vote of the entire RoadRunners team with the exception of the Booster Club Fan Favorite award.

Phoenix returns to US Airways Center at 7:11PM Tuesday, April 4 as they welcome the Las Vegas Wranglers in the regular season home finale. It's "Harley Davidson Night" as the RoadRunners will wear special themed Harley Davidson jerseys. These game-worn jerseys will be available for purchase through a live auction to be held immediately after the game at Stoudemire's Downtown restaurant located across the street from US Airways Center on 2nd Street. Then save the date on Wednesday, April 5 as the RoadRunners host their first annual "Celebrity Waiters" event at Alice Cooper'stown located on Jackson Street behind US Airways Center. Also, test your poker skills in a celebrity Texas Hold'em Poker Tournament against your favorite RoadRunners. A portion of the proceeds from the dinner and poker tournament will also benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
