March 29, 2006 - ECHL (ECHL)
Dayton Bombers News Release

Dayton, OH- An unusual situation occurred tonight between the Bombers and the Storm as they would lace em up for only a half of a game to complete the game that was suspended from Sunday.

The game picked up right where it left off, with Toledo leading 2-1 and 12:03 remaining in the second period. Both teams started off sluggish until the Bombers found a way to tie it up before the teams went to the locker rooms.

Dominic Soucy (10), picked up his first point as a Bomber, by giving Kyle Mussleman a great pass, which Musselman (7) sent across the front of the Toledo net right to Dominic Noel (12) who one-timed it past Koopmans at the 18:28 mark to tie it at 2-2.

The Bombers came out with nothing but a sense of urgency in the third period and within the first eight minutes of the period that urgency paid off thanks to A.J. MacLean. MacLean (6) was the benefactor of great passing from Paul Kelly (6) and Andy Cote (2) on the back side of the Toledo crease to tap it home and give the Bombers a 3-2 lead at the 7:27 mark of the second period.

Less than two minutes later, MacLean would get his second of the night and seventh of the season by ripping one of the half boards on the left wing, the puck went inside and off the far post of Koopmans to make it 4-2 at the 9:07 mark of the second, assists to Kelly (6) and Preston Briggs who would pick up his first professional point as well.

David Currie was able to weather the Storm for the most part, but Toledo found a number of different ways to come back and not only tie but go onto win this won making the final 6-4 in favor of Toledo.

The Bombers continue their 15th Anniversary season at home this Friday Night March 31, as the Johnstown Chiefs come to town at 7:00 PM at theEJ Nutter Center. Tickets are available at ticketmaster.com or call the Bombers office at 775-4747 for more information. The game can be heard on 980 (am) Homer the Sports Animal or on line at www.daytonbombers.com.
