Rapid City Rush News Release

(Tulsa, OK) - Playing their fourth road game in five nights, the Rapid City Rush came up short by a 2-1 margin against the Tulsa Oilers at the BOK Center on Saturday night. Veteran Michel Beausoleil netted a pair for the Oilers while rookie Jordan Behler scored the first of his career for the Rush in a tightly contested game. The Rush have two days off before they take on the Oilers again at the BOK Center on Tuesday at 6:05pm MST.

Veteran Oilers forward Michel Beausoleil got the scoring started 9:47 into the contest on a one-timer from the top of the left circle that was set up by David Solway.

Beausoleil struck again midway through the second period while on the powerplay, roofing a backhander from the slot for his 16th of the season and a 2-0 lead. The Rush finally got on the board with less than three left in the period on the first professional goal from Jordan Behler. After an initial save by Oilers goaltender Ian Keserich, Behler pounced on the rebound, teeing up a slapshot from the left circle that beat Keserich over the glove to cut the lead in half.

Despite a four-minute powerplay, the Rush were outshot 14-5 in the third period as the Oilers held on for the 2-1 win.
