
Bees waive Hult, sign Looby

Hidalgo, Texas --- The Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees of the Central Hockey League (CHL) today waived forward Alexander Hult and signed defenseman Mike Looby.
Hult appeared in eight games for the Bees and was held without a point.
Looby, a 6-foot, 192-pound rookie defenseman from Brampton, Ontario, joins the Bees after beginning the season with the Arizona Sundogs. He collected 16 PIM and 0 points in seven games there.
The 21-year-old was a member of the CHL President's Cup Champion Laredo Bucks last season, appearing in 12 playoff games and posting three points (1-2-3) after turning pro out of the Ontario Hockey League. He played a total of 260 regular season games in the OHL and collected 66 points (10-56-66) and 256 PIM.
The Bees begin a three-in-three stretch Thursday night at Odessa, and return home for Friday and Saturday contests. Rich Bocchini has the call of Thursday's game on ESPN Radio 1240 AM beginning at 6:45 PM. Friday's bout with New Mexico will be live on Jammin' 104.9/95.3 FM, while Saturday's game shifts back to ESPN 1240, and will also be live on Televisa (XERV-9, Cable 19).
