Burlington 11 @ Clinton 5 Clinton starter Michael Schlact (7-5; 4.42), who entered last night's game with Burlington as the owner of a 2-0 record and a 0.90 ERA in three starts this month, surrendered six runs on nine hits and a pair of walks in just 3.2 innings as the LumberKings fell to 12-14.

Schlact started out with three scoreless innings before struggling in the fourth.

Pepperdine alum Kea Kometani, the Rangers 14th round selection in this year's draft, allowed two runs, one earned, on three hits and a walk in 2.1 innings before Josh Giles, a recent addition to the Clinton staff, yielded three runs in one inning.

Mark Roberts (0.00 ERA) fired off a perfect eighth inning and has now racked up 11.2 scoreless MWL innings since joining the LumberKings in late June. The University of Oklahoma alum has fanned 11 while yielding just five hits. Johnny Lujan (2.70) continued to impress with a perfect ninth, fanning one.

Emerson Frostad (.268 / .355 / .442) went 2-4 to drive in one and Brandon Boggs (.290 / .376 / .490) delivered an RBI double for his only hit in five trips.

Upcoming Games

The LumberKings are off today (Wednesday) and travel to Appleton, Wisconsin on Thrusday for four game with the Timber Rattlers. The LumberKings will then return home July 25 - July 28 and take on the Lansing Lugnuts.
