
Bees Sting the Z's 11-2

New Orleans Baby Cakes News Release
Salt Lake City, Utah - Grant Green and Brennen Boesch each picked up four hits to lead the Salt Lake Bees to an 11-2 win over the New Orleans Zephyrs at Smith's Ballpark on Tuesday.
Green drilled a first inning two run home run to open the scoring. The Bees added a third run in the first to jump out to a 3-0 lead. The Z's scored a pair of runs in the second inning to cut the lead to 3-2.
Shawn O'Malley broke the game open with two outs in the third inning with a bases loaded triple scoring three runs. The Bees added another run in the inning.
Salt Lake reliever Dane De la Rosa (3-2) earned the win pitching two innings. Elih Villanueva (10-10) took the loss for the Z's. Villanueva allowed seven runs on nine hits in three innings.
The Z's final road game of the season in Wednesday night, with a win New Orleans would win the series.
GAME NOTES
Brian Bogusevic snapped a seven game hit streak with an 0x4 performance. The loss by Villanueva is his 32nd career defeat and passed Steve Sparks for most losses in Zephyr franchise history. The Z's added pitcher Rob Morey from the disabled list. Derek Dietrich rehab assignment ended and was optioned to the Zephyrs.

The Zephyrs wrap up their eight day road-trip on Wednesday. The Zephyrs and Salt Lake Bees (8:05) at Smith's Ballpark.
The Zephyrs will start LH Andrew Heaney (5-4, 3.79) against Bees RH Anthony Lerew (4-5, 6.15). Radio: WMTI 106.1 FM
