Tri-City Americans News Release
Tri-City played game four of their six game East Division road trip today in Swift Current. After being blanked last night in Moose Jaw the Americans regrouped and shutout the Broncos 3-0.
Anaheim Ducks prospect Kyle Olson opened scoring at 5:20 first period. The 19-year-old forward tallied his fourth goal of the season on an odd-man rush assisted by Isaac Johnson. Seconds before the period ended Krystof Hrabik scored, unassisted, to give the Americans a 2-0 lead.
The Broncos were out shot 10-4 through the first twenty minutes. This is the lowest number of shots allowed in a period by the Americans this season.
Tri-City held on to their lead for the rest of the game. Johnson scored on an empty net at 19:56 third period to cap off the Americans victory.
Beck Warm stopped all 24 shots faced to earn his second career shutout. His first came last season on November 10 when he stopped 43 shots in a 4-0 Americans victory over the Seattle Thunderbirds.
Score: 3-0 Tri-City
