PORTLAND, Ore. - A late Beaver rally and two doubles by Mario Valdez weren't enough to hold off the Oklahoma Redhawks, as a costly ninth inning error proved to be the Beavers' undoing Monday night at PGE Park.

Rontrez Johnson began the game with a leadoff double down the left field line. Two batters later, Ryan Ludwick doubled to center, giving Oklahoma (19-14) an early 1-0 lead.

Alex Pelaez sac-flied to center in the third, scoring Risinger to tie the game. After Castro stole second and Bay walked to load the bases, DH Mario Valdez lofted a double to center, scoring two and putting the Beavers on top 3-1.

The seventh would prove costly to the Beavers. With the score tied, Jason Hart capped off the four-run inning by hitting a deep two-run shot off Kris Keller that nearly left the park, putting the Redhawks in front 5-3.

The Beavers (21-12) came back to tie it in the eighth on a Bozied RBI single and a De Haan sac-fly that scored Jason Bay.

In the ninth, Oklahoma's Jeff Pickler laid down a sacrifice bunt to advance Johnson, who scored after an overthrow to third, putting the Redhawks up for good.
