Nashville Sounds News Release

NASHVILLE — The 3:00 p.m. game between the Nashville Sounds and Sacramento River Cats scheduled for Wednesday afternoon has been postponed due to inclement weather in the Nashville area. The game has been rescheduled as part of a 5:00 p.m. doubleheader on Friday evening at Greer Stadium.

The postponement is the fourth rainout in Nashville this season and second in the last three days due to the heavy rains the Middle Tennessee area has received this week.

The Sounds and River Cats will meet in a regularly scheduled 7 p.m. contest on Thursday evening at Greer Stadium. Right-hander Ryan Vogelsong (4-2) will take the hill for Nashville and face Sacramento right-hander and current Pacific Coast League Pitcher-of-the-Week Justin Duchscherer (2-0).

The teams will complete their four-game series with a pair of seven-inning affairs in Friday's 5 p.m. twinbill.
