Syracuse Mets News Release
SYRACUSE, NY - The Syracuse Chiefs will take on the Buffalo Bisons tomorrow at NBT Bank Stadium for Super Hero Day #2, presented by SOS. Despite the heat advisory in effect, fans can still enjoy an afternoon of baseball and fun with the whole family.
"Tomorrow is going to be a great family afternoon at NBT Bank Stadium," said Jason Smorol, general manager. "We want everyone to come out to enjoy the game, but also stay safe. Kids 12 & under eat for free, it's super hero day, post-game run the bases - you can't beat it!"
Here are the Chiefs recommendations to beat the heat:
- Bring your own water bottle, disposable or reusable, the Chiefs allow (1) bottle per person.
- Take advantage of our water fountains located throughout the concourse that provide free, clean, cold water to all fans.
- Don't forget your hat, sunglasses and sunscreen!
- If your seats are in the sun & you would like to move to the shade, just ask one of our ushers (wearing red polo shirts) to help you find a seat out of the sun.
- Watch the game from the concourse - it's always cooler there, with no sun & a nice breeze it's a great place to watch the game!
- Visit the Family Fun Park, which will be transformed into a Sprinkler Fun Zone for the day
- If the heat is getting to you or someone in your party, don't worry; we have an EMT on staff. Just ask a security guard or usher to call for help!
- Bring a cloth or towel to keep wet & wrap around your neck or head.
- Move through the security lines faster by emptying your pockets & having your bags ready to be searched. Leave pocketknives or other weapons at home.
Every Sunday home game is Kids Eat Free Sunday, presented by NBT Bank. Kids 12 & under will receive vouchers when they enter for a kids popcorn and a 12 oz. Coca-Cola fountain drink in the 1st inning, a kids Hofmann hot dog and a 12 oz. Coca-Cola fountain drink in the 3rd inning and a kids Perry's ice cream cup in the 6th inning.
