TOLEDO, Ohio - The Louisville Bats (31-46) defeated the Toledo Mud Hens (46-34) by a 6-4 score Saturday night at Fifth Third Field. The win snapped a three-game losing streak for the Bats, now with a chance to tie the series tomorrow night in the finale.

The scoring got started early for the Bats, scoring four runs in the top of the first inning. Mason Williams doubled as the game's first batter, his seventh straight game out of the leadoff spot with a hit for Louisville. Phillip Ervin singled him in and Gabriel Guerrero singled in Ervin to make it a 2-0 game. Guerrero scored on an error by Toledo third baseman Ronny Rodriguez, before Chadwick Tromp drove in the inning's final run to make it a 4-0 Louisville advantage.

Right-hander Robert Stephenson (7-6, 3.60) went 5.0 innings, giving up two runs, one earned, on six hits. He walked one and struck out six on 88 pitches, 57 strikes.

Toledo pulled within two runs, 4-2, and 6-4, but would not get any closer as the Bats won by a 6-4 final score.

International League All-Star Kevin Quackenbush tossed a scoreless ninth inning, recording his 10th save of the season. The Bats and Mud Hens are back at it tomorrow with left-hander Justin Nicolino (3-5, 4.89) going for Louisville. Right-hander A.J. Ladwig (5-4, 6.44) will toe the rubber for Toledo.
