Beast Score Five and End Thunder's Six-Game Winning Streak

BRAMPTON, ONTARIO - Jake Paterson made 31 saves and Anthony Beauregard scored his second of the year as the Brampton Beast defeated the Adirondack Thunder 5-1 on Wednesday night.

The Adirondack Thunder traveled north of the border to take on the Brampton Beast for a Wednesday night match-up. Adirondack got the first goal of the game on the power play at 9:53.

Peter MacArthur was able to take the cross-ice pass from James Henry and give the Thunder a 1-0 lead. Later in the first the Beast would fight back and tie the game courtesy of Brandon Marino. The Beast captain would be left alone in front and would jam the puck home off the feed from Daniel Ciampini and David Pacan to tie the game 1-1 at 14:27.

The Beast would head into the first intermission tied up 1-1 with their north division opponent. The second period wouldn't change much, as both clubs dueled each other into a scoreless second period of play. Brampton would return to their dressing room tied 1-1 but with the edge in shots by a count of 27-24.

The third period began and the Beast once again went on the attack. Anthony Beauregard gave the Beast a 2-1 lead off a gorgeous feed from Jackson Leef and Aaron Luchuk.

Beauregard's second of the year came at 11:46. With the Beast on the power play, David Pacan was able to redirect the puck past Cam Johnson to give Brampton a 3-1 lead at 13:16.

The Beast weren't done yet and Jordan Henry blew the game wide open with a tally at 13:54. The Beast ended the night with Matt Petgrave icing the puck into the empty net to give the Beast a 5-1 victory on home ice. Jake Paterson finished with 31 saves and captured his third win of the season for Brampton.

Notes: Molson Three Stars 3) Henry (BRA) 2) Pacan (BRA) 1) Beauregard (BRA) Brampton finished the contest two-for-five on the man advantage. Adirondack finished the game one-for-four. Brampton is on the road in Kalamazoo Staurday night. Puck drop is 7:30.
