
Bears, Phantoms to meet September 25 in New Jersey

HERSHEY - The 2006 Calder Cup Champion HERSHEY BEARS have announced an additional game to the club's 2006 exhibition schedule. The announcement was made today by BEARS President/GM Doug Yingst.
The game will be played on Monday, September 25 at the Flyers Skate Zone in Voorhees, N.J. with a 1:00 p.m. face-off. Philadelphia's preseason games are open to the public and cost $10 per person, with a portion of the proceeds going to youth hockey programs. Tickets can be purchased at Flyers Skate Zone in Voorhees or by calling 856-309-4400
The BEARS will play three additional games during preseason play, beginning on Friday, September 29 with a game against the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins at Wachovia Arena at 7:05 p.m. HERSHEY will then host two home exhibition games on Saturday, September 30 and Sunday, October 1 at GIANT Center. The Norfolk Admirals will provide the opposition on September 30 in a 7:00 p.m. start, while the Penguins will venture to central PA for Sunday's game at 5:00 p.m.
Tickets for the exhibition games at GIANT Center are $7 general admission, and are on sale now at the GIANT Center box office or by phone at (717) 508-BEAR. Parking is free for both Saturday and Sunday's games.
The BEARS will open the home portion of the 2006-07 season on Saturday, October 21 against the Bridgeport Sound Tigers. Pre-game ceremonies highlighting the 2006 Calder Cup Champions will occur prior to the game. Season tickets are on sale now by calling (717) 508-BEAR, with several ticket plans available.
