Potter, a 6-3, 200-pound Mason, Michigan native, was a fourth-round Rangers draft pick (#122 overall) in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft. While with the Colts, Petruzalek played in 24 games, registering 11 goals and 20 assists for 31 points, along with 28 penalty minutes.
Ouellette completed a four-year ECAC career at Dartmouth College in 2005-06. The Kamloops, B.C. native served as the Big Green's captain this past season and was a First-Team All-ECAC selection, as well as All-Ivy Player of the Year. He also earned recognition as the ECAC's Best Defensive Forward. In 33 games on the year, Ouellette tallied 13 goals and added a team-best 24 assists for 37 points, which was also tops on the club and tied him for fifth in the ECAC. In addition to his ECAC and Ivy League honors, Ouellette was also named an East Second-Team American Hockey Coaches Association CCM All-American and a New England Hockey Writers Association All-New England selection. After the completion of his college season, Ouellette joined the AHL's Springfield Falcons on an Amateur Tryout (ATO) agreement and chipped in one assist in three AHL contests.
