In Brief
· 10/22: Home Opener
The Beacons opened their home schedule as they hosted the Fort Wayne Komets. The Komets jumped out to a quick 2-0 lead off of goals by PC Drouin and Dustin Virag in the first period. Port Hurons Malcolm MacMillan responded with his 2nd goal on the year at 8:55 to bring the Beacons within one. That however would be the closest the Beacons would get to the Komets all night long. Aaron Brand and Mark Lindsay both did their part by netting 1 goal and 1 assist each. Daniel Berthiaume made his first start of the season but looked a bit shaky making 27 saves on 34 shots.

· 10/23: Michigan Division
The first divisional game saw the Beacons get the lead early by netting the first two goals of the game. David Beauregard and Joey Sewell notched their 1st of the season at 2:17 and 3:00, respectively. That however would be all that the Beacons would get as Kalamazoo scored the next four goals to win 4-2.

· 10/24: Expansion Team
One of three new teams to face the Beacons this season, the Kansas City Outlaws came into McMorran with a 3-1-0 record. The Outlaws looked more like an expansion team despite what their record said as they were felling the effects of three games in three nights. The Beacons topped the board first as Aaron Brand recorded his 3rd goal of the season. David Beauregard also played his part by scoring 2 goals and 1 assist. Andrew Shier added 2 assists while Brand also had 1 assist. The lead slipped away in the third as Steve Yetman scored his first of two goals within a span of 4:15.

Join Beacons play-by-play announcer, Dennis Stuckey along with Head Coach, Rick Adduono for in depth analysis of the weekends action and questions from fans of all ages. Select Beacon players will also be appearing throughout the season. Of course if you cannot make it down to the Brass Rail you can always tune into AM 1450 and AM 1590, also your home for hockey action all year long both home and away.
