BC Lions Season Kick-Off and Lion Heart Awards Luncheon

VANCOUVER, B.C., June 2, 2005 – Join the BC Lions roster of players, coaches, management and the Felions Dance Team to celebrate the 2005 season kick off and Lion Heart awards on Wednesday, June 15 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the Regency Ballroom at the Hyatt Regency Hotel, Vancouver.

The Lion Heart awards recognize the dedicated work and community contribution of a BC Lions player, students and educators and excellence in journalism in coverage of the team.

Before the luncheon, there will be opportunity to catch a pass from a Lions quarterback, get a picture taken with a fabulous Felion or throw a pass to a Lions receiver.

Some great prizes will be given away, including 2 tickets to the 2005 Grey Cup! There will also be a chance to win 4 tickets to the BC Lions 2005 Season Home Opener July 8th "Wall of Fame Game" against Ottawa, and a personalized replica Reebok home jersey.

Purchase a 2005 season ticket at the luncheon and a portion of each ticket sold will be donated to the Vancouver Public Library Foundation for the Library's Mother Goose literacy program.

Organized by The Vancouver Board of Trade's Spirit of Vancouver campaign, this year's event will be emceed by Rick Ball from the Team 1040AM. Registration begins at 11:30 am in the Regency Ballroom in the Hyatt Regency Vancouver at 655 Burrard Street. Tickets are $49, plus GST. Reserved tables of 8 are $450 plus GST.
