ACKSONVILLE, Fla. (May 1) - Following their 12-0 victory over the Jacksonville Suns at the Baseball Grounds on Friday night, the Arizona Diamondbacks and the Mobile BayBears have announced the following roster moves. Starting pitcher Hector Ambriz, the winning pitcher on Friday night, has been promoted to Triple-A Reno. Ambriz was 3-2 with a 2.17 ERA in 5 starts for the BayBears this season. He allowed 7 earned runs on 18 hits in 29 innings while walking just 6 and fanning 32. To replace Ambriz on the Mobile roster, starting pitcher Jarrod Parker has been sent up to the BayBears from Single-A Visalia. Parker was named the #1 prospect in the Arizona farm system by Baseball America this past offseason. With the Rawhide, Parker was 1-0 with a 0.95 ERA, striking out 21 batters and walking just 4 in 19 innings. He was 12-5 last year for Single-A South Bend with a 3.44 ERA and 117 punch outs in 117.2 innings. Parker will start for the BayBears on Saturday night in Jacksonville and wear jersey number 29.
