
Bats Win Third Straight, 3-0 Over Durham

Durham, NC - Jung Keun Bong tossed seven innings of scoreless baseball to lead the Louisville Bats to a 3-0 shutout of the Durham Bulls. The Bats used three pitchers to combine for the shutout with Bong leading the charge.
Bong allowed only two hits and struck out seven on the night to improve to 3-2. Mike Matthews tossed a scoreless inning and Brian Mallette picked up his third save by closing out the ninth.
Tim Hummel and Ray Olmedo had two hits apiece and each knocked in a run in the win.
Jorge Sosa dropped to 0-2 despite allowing only one run. Sosa was dominant in five innings, allowing only three hits and mowed down ten hitters.
Louisville improved to 11-14 with the win and have won three straight. Durham dropped to 14-9 and hold a three game lead over Charlotte atop the South Division.
